My husband has been on ” ideal protein ” diet for last 5 weeks and lost weight, he will soon be off the diet( I don’t think their package food is very healthy and he is getting tired of it and started to cheat here and there with carbs). So far he lost 15 lb but he should lose another 10- 15 lb( starting weight 225, today 210). I am trying to find a way to help him sustain weight or lose and also see a need to change our eating style over all when he goes off this diet.He seems to not believe in whats in your blog( he thinks to good to be true), I decided to experiment on myself. Hi Tammy, I still have to try the muffin tin method to ive you a better response. Why don’t you make the recipe using exact ingredients for one bread multiplied x 9-10 and divide between 12 muffin tin slots? I think this will work better. This way we are not changing the amount of eggs. If you use less eggs, the bread will be more dry, since it is gluten-free.
Hey folks, I am a 55 year old guy whos used to be in good shape, so was wondering if I could use the Keto diet to lose fat and gain muscle, obviously I would have to increase caloric intake as I am weight training and performing cardio so was wondering about supplements, vits and minerals as well whey protein, as I am trying to lose body fat and build muscle I need extra calories.. plus creatine and NO pre work out and a post work supplement…

What about fruits and vegetables? All fruits are rich in carbs, but you can have certain fruits (usually berries) in small portions. I have a question on sugar since I see it’s not allowed. Is splenda or any other sugar subsitute ok? What if one of the ingredients that is required for a keto recipe contains sugar, does it matter? I haven’t really seen any discussion on how some things may already contain sugar (even if in low doses) may affect the keto diet. Should they be avoided altogether?

Hi, I’m still a bit skeptical, I have seen some of my friends do the keto diet, and have had good results. Though I am still not sure about the idea of the fats being eaten. They say they eat meat with the fat and must do so, is this correct? Also isn’t this not good for the body especially for the kidneys? Second, can a diabetic do this diet? There are many questions running through my head.

Hi there. I’ve been off the low carb band wagon for TOO long now (years!) and weight has been creeping up to a disgusting level and cravings are through the roof. I’ve been trying to get back on track the last two days but accidentally had a bit of chocolate last night and too many cream cheese “clouds” from another low carb site and your truffles!. However, I’ve lost 800g so hopefully heading towards ketosis. All I can say is WOW! I am a week in on this Keto way of eating and came across this simple recipe. Gotta admit, I didn’t think I would like it…I LOVE IT! So easy to make…took me 20 minutes total! It was light, moist and delicious. I used one small loaf pan, doubled the ingredients and made the regular one and the cheese mix in. But you can also enjoy loads of spinach, broccoli, swiss chard, zucchini, celery, eggplant, cucumbers, and even spaghetti squash! Kale, tomatoes, onions, garlic, mushrooms, even pumpkin in moderation. Potatoes are mostly a no no unless you are in maintenance mode and even then very sparingly!

Hi I’m new to Keto. I have been reading about it, and understanding what to eat and what not to eat. My problem is I’m not sure if I’m doing it correctly. I’m constantly hungry whereas information reads that I will never be hungry. I use fats as required along with topping up with vegetables in my meals yet this does not fill me up. I haven’t experienced the Keto flu and I’ve even put on weight! I have been doing this for about 3 weeks now. Any ideas where I am going wrong.

Maybe if it’s slower it’s to ease the detox symptoms that cause some people to quit and then figure it’s better to ease into it.
